AAR Engagement Report

Hostile Forces:
Space Marines; Black Templar Chapter
Imperial Guard; Regiment Unknown, possibly Cadian

Ork; Clan unknown
Tau; Farsight Enclave; Expedition Longreach

Engagement Details:
During operations to recon a structure on works which showed potential for recovery of an alien weapons system. While en-route to the location we discovered that there were three other forces inbound to the location. When we were within visual range of the location we were able to determine that the other forces approaching the location were a small mechanized Ork force and an Imperial unit that appeared to be composed of an Imperial Guard unit providing support for a Black Templar unit.

I immediately attempted to contact the Imperial forces to advise them I would allow them the honor of wiping out the Greenskins in exchange for giving them limited access to the structure we were attempting to secure.

Our generous offer was scoffed at by the humans and they advised us that they would be taking the facility and if anyone attempted to stop them they would engage and destroy them.

The Orks engaged the Imperials on our left and it was felt that they best option would be to hold our position and advance slowly as the Orks ruched headlong into the imperial lines. Our position was supported by a squad of Broadside suits which had been dropped in by an Orca prior to the battle.

By holding the right flank of the battlefield we forced the Marines and the Guardsmen into a meat grinder in which they were forced to face off against the orks. The Orks had their transports stripped away but held the center of the battlefield while we provided them fire support. As the battle progressed we moved up the right slightly to attempt to provide better close support for the Ork forces but were never able to truly bring all of our firepower to bear.

the Orks lost almost their entire force in the battle but were able to hold off the Marines. The Broadside squad was responsible for destroying a Hellhound and a Demolisher .Tactically no one achieved a victory, in a way though we achieved a victory as the Imperials and orks lost a great deal of equipment while we lost only one vehicle to a penetrating shot.

A detailed list of casualties and estimated enemy losses has been forwarded to strategic command.

Expedition Longreach, Day 1

We arrived on world today. Before we even made planet fall we observed a battle taking place in low orbit between two bands of greenskins. It figures that even when they are trying to conquer a newly discovered world that they would still fight amongst themselves. After we made a few low orbit passes we were able to determine that at this point there are a few different forces on the surface.

From what our computers identification software could determine onboard the R. Lee Ermy there seem to be seven other forces on this dirtball. It seems that there is another Hunter Cadre, they seem to be a group of fools who follow thier misguided "Greater Good". There are also four different Space Marine chapters on the planet including Space Wolves, Ultra Marines, Black Templars, and Dark Angels. It also appears that two of thier enegade Chaos Space Marine bands are on world and three Ork warbands and a group of Dark Eldar.


Judging from the transmissions coming from the workd it seems the Space Marines and the Tau on planet have formed a loose alliance and have asked us to help combat the other forces on world. I will gladly lead our forces against the greenskins. I hope that though he is not woth us now, even Commander Farsight will join us to rid the world of the cancer that blights this world.
